Observances of the day

The garbage truck jingle is quickly becoming a daily source of temporary insanity.

Inspired from blog-hopping to identify the flora I've photographed thus far, I've come to the conclusion that trying to identify plants is incredibly hard when you don't understand half the terminology in the keys and have to look them up. One at a time. Even Wikipedia couldn't help me differentiate between introrse and extrorse anthers. For the time being, I give up my ambitions of publishing my Guide to Taiwan's Flora.

I'm not even going to look at the fauna.

Physical keys with visuals are so much easier to use.

I know exactly what you mean about trying to identify natural things! Even with the magic of the Internet, it's nearly impossible to determine what things are when you don't know how to describe them. That's where smart blog readers come in handy. :)

Haha, yes indeed. I'm so disappointed that I couldn't identify my flower pictures better... My biology professors would be too. Alas.
